Barely 7 I entered California for the first time. Reading wasn’t something that interested me 5 years ago. However now, I read more books than in the past. At the age of 12 I realize it is essential to my life. Every book that I read educates me. Reading is my passion and one that helps me gain knowledge. You might be thinking my imagination’s pretty big for a 12 year old but I think I can make it happen if I try and make it one of my goals.

Goals are something that help you throughout life and personal goals are an example of that. One of my personal goals is to own a driver’s license and a car. This accomplishment will enable me to go to my favorite places. I will accomplish this goal by working hard on the test, getting tips, and making an effort. Another goal is to have a part time job. The money will allow me to buy the things that I desire. Though difficult, through discipline I can achieve my personal goals.

Academic goals are extremely important to me. One of my academic goals to be in marching band. I’ve seen parades and they interest me. I’ll have to work extra hard in middle school if I want to join it. Keeping good grades is a goal of mine. I don’t want my grades to drop. I think if I keep good grades, I’ll accomplish much more in life.
